Such a charismatic wine, from the noblest red grape variety in Portugal, sits at the table only of those who are only satisfied with the best.
CASTES
100% Touriga Nacional.
SERVICE TEMPERATURE
16º - 18ºC.
VINIFICATION
Grapes from 3 different Touriga Nacional plots were used, which were harvested separately. The grapes are unloaded from 20 kg boxes directly into the destemmer-crusher, falling by gravity into small stainless steel vats, equipped with automatic reassembly and temperature control. Here alcoholic fermentation took place for about 8 days, at an average temperature of about 27ºC. Touriga Nacional from one of the plots was left in post-fermentative maceration for another 20 days.
TEST RESULTS
This wine has a ruby red color. It is an intense, complex and elegant wine. The notes of ripe black fruit, the delicate floral nuances and the hints of bush that give freshness, are very well involved in a set in which the aging in barrel only adds more complexity. In the mouth it is harmonious and balanced, with soft tannins giving structure and strength to the wine. There are still aromas of sous bois, forest and fruit, aromas that remain in a long and persistent finish.
