SERVICE SUGGESTION
Serve cold between 6ºC-10ºC. Once opened, it must be consumed within 1 month. It does not need to be decanted.
VINIFICATION
The grapes are destemmed and vinified according to the traditional Port Wine method. Fermentation, which transforms the natural sugar in the grapes into alcohol, takes place at controlled temperatures. To obtain wines like this Porto Ferreira Lágrima, it is important to choose fragrant and rich grape varieties, such as Moscatel, and to pay attention to the fermentation stopping point, earlier than usual in other Ports, which allows for a degree of sweetness higher. The final balance between the body and aroma of Port Wine comes from the combination of the different characteristics of the multiple varieties of grapes used.
TEST RESULTS
Golden yellow color with great aromatic intensity. Attractive and complex, its rich flavor is reminiscent of exotic and tropical fruits, with floral nuances and a touch of honey. Its high sweetness (typical of wines with this designation) very well balanced with alcohol, gives it unique characteristics of great nobility, enhanced by the careful aging in wood.
