TEST RESULTS
Stunning purple-black core with a narrow purple rim. A powerful burst of forest fruits, and dense blackberry and blackcurrant coulis, dominate the nose. Black fruit aromas are infused with understated cherry and mocha notes. As you would expect from Taylor's, the fruit is very fine and concentrated, but the year seems to have given it an added layer of density and volume. A familiar veil of violet scent hangs over the wine, along with a rose petal fragrance and aromas of wild herbs and mint.
On the palate, the wine has wonderfully ripe tannins, which integrate seamlessly into the mid-palate, providing structure and volume, which ends with a firm grip. The palate closes with a powerful wave of fresh and complex fruit that flows endlessly into the long finish. In 2018, Taylor's characteristic hints of fine fruit and inner power blend perfectly with the typical maturity and depth of the year.
