From the Epordouro cellars comes the long-awaited Solar dos Dragos Grande Reserva, Tinto Cão. A captivating limited edition that will awaken all your senses.
The origin of the name of this wine is an old manor house, located in Cabêda and founded in the 15th century, which belonged to a noble family of winegrowers named “Dragos”. The connection of this imposing building to wine production is historical. Only ruins remain of it.

100% Red Dog.
VINIFICATION
Vines from the 1980s, planted at an altitude of 450 m on two-bard terraces. Manual harvest in boxes of 25 Kgs. Total destemming, cold maceration, tanning with moderate temperature control and gentle pumping over. Short post-fermentative maceration, spontaneous malolactic and aging in 225 L barrels, new and used, for 16 months. 6 months in bottle before being released to the market.
TEST RESULTS
Intense ruby color, with some opacity. Complex aroma, with forest flowers, red fruits combined with balsamic and spicy notes from aging in barrel. Fresh and rich mouth, with powerful but round tannins. The set is very balanced and long.
