The original liqueur was created in 1880 by Louis-Alexandre Marnier Lapostolle, based on the ambitious and innovative idea of mixing cognac with an exotic variety of oranges from the Caribbean, a delicate blend of fine cognacs and distilled essence of tropical oranges with the secret touch of Marnier-Lapostolle.
Slowly aged in French oak barrels, it acquires an incomparable roundness and subtlety.
Tasting Notes: It has a bright topaz color with golden amber tones. Complex aroma of orange flowers combined with toffee notes. Bitter orange flavors with hints of orange marmalade and hazelnuts. The finish is long and harmonious.
