Scala Coeli wine (which in Latin means "stairway to Heaven", owes its name to the Convent of Santa Maria Scala Coeli, commonly known as Convent of Cartuxa, where Carthusian monks remain in silence and prayer. Produced from the best vinifications of the year, from grape varieties foreign to the Alentejo, was produced for the first time in 2005.
Scala Coeli is an Alentejo Regional Wine, produced in small quantities, obtained from the best fermentations of each year, from a variety or a batch of foreign and less traditional varieties in the region.
