In the vineyards of Quinta dos Muros, on the eastern slope of the Pinhão river valley, the Touriga Nacional exposed to the south finds the ideal conditions to provide an excellent structure and complexity in addition to the ripe black fruit, and the Tinta Roriz, exposed to the West, lends it acidity and aromatic freshness.
A serious, fresh and balanced port, very typical of the Pinhão river valley.
CASTES
Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca.
VINIFICATION
Fermentation in “Lagar” tanks. Fermentation with foot maceration at approx. 28-30ºC. Aging for one year in old barrels.
TEST RESULTS
Garnet color with an attractive violet. Exuberant and fresh aromas, with fruits such as blackberry and plum. In the mouth it is velvety, well balanced, but soon a serious character appears, where the tannins show their strength, aided by a beautiful acidity that leaves a long and powerful aftertaste! A serious, fresh and balanced port, as only Vale do Pinhão knows how to produce it!
