Portal 40 Years Old is a very rare wine, with Quinta do Portal being one of the few houses that still bottle wines with so many years of aging. Small format.
Traditional grape varieties from the Douro Demarcated Region, such as Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Nacional.
13º - 14ºC.
Maceration at an approximate temperature of 28-30ºC. Stage with aging in old wooden casks until bottling.
Amber in color with a strong greenish olive nuance, this Port has an excellent aroma of dried fruits such as almonds and spices. Full and highly complex, reminiscent of honey and dried fruit again. Excellent and conventual aftertaste that conveys a little of the grandeur that is the Douro.
