Moscatel Roxo Private Collection Domingos Soares Franco 0.75 LTJ.M.F
Domingos Soares Franco presents, as part of his Private Collection, a fortified wine produced from the Moscatel grape in its pink version: Moscatel Roxo. It is a very rare grape, which was at risk of extinction. Although it can be considered similar to its white namesake, its appearance is quite different due to its purple color.
100% Moscatel Roxo.
As an aperitif at a temperature of 10ºC or at 16ºC as a dessert wine.
Fermentation stopped with wine brandy, the skins remaining in maceration until February/March of the following year. Aging in used wooden casks. No bottle stage as it does not evolve after bottling.
Bright amber color. Aroma of dried fruit, hazelnut, toasted almond, some very subtle floral of white roses. On the palate, very elegant with a perfect combination of sweetness and the characteristic acidity of Moscatel Roxo, ending with a pleasant sensation of volume and longevity. Long finish.
