VINIFICATION
Belonging to the oldest Champagne house in the world, Ruinart Rosé is composed of a base of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. For the most part, only grapes classified as Premiers Crus are used, with 20% to 25% coming from reserves from the previous 2 years. Its composition is 45% Chardonnay grapes from the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims vineyards; and 55% Pinot Noir grapes from the Montagne de Reims and Vallée de la Marne vineyards, of which 18% to 19% are vinified in red. In terms of winemaking: hand-picked. Fermentation in temperature-regulated stainless steel tanks. Complete malolactic fermentation. Only 9 grams of sugar per litre, it's true Brut Champagne.
TEST RESULTS
Delicate pomegranate pink color with very slight orange reflections. With an intense but smooth effervescence, it presents a persistent string of fine bubbles. The nose is subtle and fresh, first offering an original palette of tropical fruits such as guava and lychee and small berries (raspberries, cherries and wild strawberries). Followed by notes of rose and pomegranate that complete a complex and intense flavor profile, dominated by sophisticated primary aromas. In the mouth, the immediate flavor is distinct and complete with aromas of freshly picked berries. This balance brings together a pleasant freshness and a voluptuous body, which is expressed in an elegant touch of mint and pink grapefruit.
