Terrunho is a young individual project that embraced the concept of “Garage Wines” dedicated to exploring different expressions of the vineyards and the Alvarinho grape variety from Monção and Melgaço.
In this small production, the objective is nothing more than an attempt to shorten the path between the initial perception of the consumer who observes the bottle and its content. And its content only intends to offer the consumer a differentiated sensory experience that provides a unique moment.
CASTES
Alvarinho.
SERVICE TEMPERATURE
6º - 8ºC.
VINIFICATION
Manual harvest in a 20 kg box, direct pressing with stems where only a certain fraction of the must was selected for decantation and subsequent fermentation in stainless steel. Aged for 21 months on fine lees with regular batonage for the first 7 months. 16 months of aging before degorgement.
TEST RESULTS
Citrine color with golden nuances. Thin bubble with a continuous and persistent cord. Aroma with fruity notes mixed with more evolved notes of biscuit, honey and marmalade. In the mouth it is creamy and full-bodied, pronounced in the notes of the aroma with a good acidity that balances it and prolongs the whole at the end of the mouth.
