Douglas Laing's King of Scots Blended Scotch Whiskey was first created in 1886. Today, over 135 years later, Fred Laing, the second generation of the family business and our Master Blender, hand-selects the barrels for King of Scots and the combines to create this, the crowning glory of Blended Scotch Whiskey.
TEST RESULTS
A three-year-old blend with hints of caramel, spice and citrus on the nose. At first, the palate is said to be sweet, with ripe fruit, toffee and vanilla, evolving into a sweet and spicy finish. Not cold filtered.
The whiskeys used to make the King of Scots blend are handpicked by company president and master blender, Fred Laing.
