Glenglassaugh 'Torfa', with its peaty and phenolic nature, is a unique expression and is quite different from the usual style of whiskey produced in the Highlands.
TEST RESULTS
Bright yellow gold color. Nose to vivid, sweet, sooty smoke from the campfire and sea air infuse lemon zest, apricot jam and ripe fruit; all gently warmed by hints of ginger and cracked black pepper. On the palate, eloquent, sweet coastal peat smoke envelops candied bark over melon, pineapple and roasted red apples. Oatmeal biscuits, heather honey notes and a mild cigar box spice combine to give an incredible balance to the expressive smoky character.
