Plantation Barbados Grande Rerseva 5 Year Old is a subtle, tropical Barbadian style rum, great for aperitifs or classic cocktails like the Mai Tai.
American oak barrels house this rum, where it ages for three to four years. Next, a woody, nutmeg palette is drawn into French Ferrand oak barrels, while the rum continues to mature for one to two years.

TEST RESULTS
On the nose, the nose-opening round is all about bakery fragrances, but also pipe tobacco, toasted marshmallow; secondary aromas after additional aeration discover bacon fat, black raisins, prunes. On the palate, the starter is bittersweet, toasted; the medium palate is attractively toasty, almost fruity, as in roasted orchard fruit, and resinous. Medium long, chocolatey finish.
