Alicante Bouschet This is one of the most emblematic grape varieties in the current Alentejo and beyond. For more than a century in this region, Alicante Bouschet has found here the ideal climate conditions for the full expression of its oenological character. Therefore, today more than a Portuguese grape variety by adoption, it is above all an Alentejo grape variety. The profile we are looking for in this wine is difficult, which is why only 3 harvests have been produced so far: 2005, 2008 and 2014. Coming from vineyards with controlled production, never more than 27 hl/hectare, the grapes are fermented in a lagar with part of the stems and subsequently matured in new French oak barrels.
