Quinta da Romaneira Porto Vintage 2016 has a powerful tannic structure that promises very good and long aging potential. This year illustrates the return to form of this large and historic Quinta dos Vinhos do Porto.
CASTES
Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinto Cao.
VINIFICATION
The grapes were crushed using traditional treading in the new stainless steel presses in our new winery. Fermentation took place at a temperature of 280C, with disciplined and intense treading contributing greatly to the excellent final result.
This wine aged for about 20 months in wooden barrels in the farm's cellars before being bottled. It must age in the bottle for a period of about 8 to 15 years in order to acquire the complexity and bouquet characteristic of a Vintage
TEST RESULTS
Despite - or perhaps due to - the year's exceptional and extreme weather conditions, the end result is of excellent quality. The wines are balanced and fresh, with excellent structure, vibrant and intense fruit and aromatically very expressive.
