VINIFICATION

It is produced by the traditional port wine method. The grapes harvested by hand are submitted to the removal and crushing of the peduncle before fermentation, under controlled temperature, with maceration of the skin to extract the best components. The addition of wine alcohol at the ideal moment establishes the balance between the wine's body and bouquet. This moment is chosen by the winemaker, after rigorous control of fermentation temperatures and densities, depending on the variety of vine, the maturation stage and the final sweetness required. After the harvest, the wines remain in the Douro until the following spring, when they are taken to VNGaia and entered the century-old stores in Offley for aging in oak barrels, as required by the traditional Port wine aging system. Over the years, the wines are carefully tasted and analyzed by the oenology team, who also make all necessary corrections and prepare the final blend to maintain the style and character of Offley Porto Reserva. The selected wines are usually between 3 and 5 years old, providing a mature and intense wine, with an average age of 4 years. The final blend is filtered and cold stabilized before bottling.

TEST RESULTS

It has an intense red ruby tone and an elegant bouquet dominated by ripe red fruits with some floral and mild notes. In the mouth, it is a finely balanced wine, with a good body involving quality tannins and a long and harmonious finish that ideally complements its bouquet.
