A traditional and ancient mixture of honey and medronho, flavored with mountain plants, has become popular among people in the Algarve mountains, especially in Monchique, due to its excellent taste. Almost 60 years ago, this mixture was adapted to an industrial process by the Cristina de Portimão family, who managed to maintain the characteristics of the artisan drink that inspired them.
Currently, this tasty mixture of honey, brandy, medronho and flavored with mountain plants, is aged in oak casks, in order to preserve all the qualities of a natural product.
Tasting Notes: A flaming golden color capable of reflecting light. Pronounced aroma of honey, associated with meadowsweet, musk, linden blossom, chamomile and sweet wild herbs. Favoring lust and retention of flavor in the mouth, the spirit of the liqueur awakens the taste buds, revealing an underlying firmness and balanced sensation of warmth. Excellent balance, long finish.
